Maggie finally gets a date and Maxwell disagrees, and Fran convinces him but on one condition that she chaperones. On the day of the date, Maggie doesn’t know what to talk about with her date so Fran comes to her rescue. The next day, Maggie feels bad because the date was not what she expected, but everything gets worse when Maggie’s suitor calls asking for Fran.
Gracie has an imaginary friend named Imogenes. When Fran is in the kitchen eating a cookie, Gracie becomes desperate as she says she just ate her imaginary friend, Fran spits out the cookie and with Maxwell’s help they try to “revive” Imogenes but Gracie says she passed away. This prompts a visit to Gracie’s psychiatrist who asks to speak to Fran.
Brock Storm (Stephen Nichols), a famous soap opera actor, is to star in Maxwell’s production, but Maxwell asks him as a condition that he arrange a date with Fran. At first Maxwell disagrees, thinking that he is using Fran, but C.C. convinces him and they tell Fran about the date, who is more than thrilled, although in the end not everything goes as she expected.
